Doesn't Work for Me

Hello,
I followed instructructions with the EXE and LNK to get desktop icons to work, but still does nothing. It seems what is not working is the shortcuts I personally placed there. IE works as well as other programs originally with computer. ??????? HELP! Thank you!

Run sfc /scannow from command prompt (Will need your Windows Cd)
