X800 gto vs x1600 xt

I'm looking to purchase a video card and I've come down to between these two. They're both 256mb and I can't decide which one to purchase. They're both used and pretty much exactly the same price. I'm going to be using it to play some games, such as Left 4 Dead 2, on pretty low settings.

My computer specs are:
P4 2.93 Ghz
2 Gb RAM

EDIT: I'd like to also note that both are 256mb and I will be running on Windows XP.

The 800GTO is a better performer but unly supports shader 2.0. The 1600XT supports shader 3.0 that many newer games need but does not have the performance of the 800gto.

Yeah, I do realize that. But I don't really expect to live with this video card for a while. I'll only probably use this for a few months then I'll be moving on. I am going on the side of the x800 GTO.

Make sure that the games that you are playing don't require shader 3.0 because then you are better of with the X1600xt since they wont run at all if you don't have support for it.

Well, the games I will be playing only require shader 2.0. And because I won't be using this video card for very long, I think I'd be better suited with the better-performing x800 GTO.
