Your computer could have picked up some type of infection, or the Operating System has become unstable or corrupt. Run your AV scan and/or boot from your windows CD and repair the OS.

If no success, you can use a working computer (Internet Access) and search for Rescue CD (or USB flash drive) to download to boot the system from to perform and in-depth scan for viruses, rootkits & other malware. Kapersky & Avira are two that I have used.
