Sound not working?

The sound on my Gigabyte MA785GM-US2h board randomly stopped working. It happened after a reboot.

Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
3 GB DDR2 PC 6400 Memory
8600GT XFX 512MB DDR2 With zalman fatality cooler
Athlon II X3 Rana 2.7ghz 425

You didn't happen to have this problem after an update now would you?

1|Go into windows device manager and see if the hardware is functioning properly(without an exclamation mark)

2|Uninstall the sound card drivers and reinstall

post back here if anything happens
