New Ram Computer Will Not Boot!

I recently upgraded from 2g of ddr2 to 4g. i installed it and it freezes on the starting windows screen and no colors spin around. ive tried manually setting the volts and timers and it still didnt work. ive also tried the other 2 ram slots and it did the same. the old ram works fine.

Corsair 2x2g ddr2 5-6-6-18 2.1v
nvidia gtx 260

What motherboard BIOS Version are you running? Version 1.6 is the latest with one of the updates made being improved memory compatibility.

i believe its 1.2 but im not familiar on how to flash/update the bios

the wierd thing is , is that the ramed actually worked when i manually changed the voltage, but i turned off my computer to go to work and when i got back and turned it on it did the same thing

After you save the 7512v16.zip file to your hard disk drive extract it and read the contents of the "How to flash the BIOS.DOC" file.

You should manually set and save the memory timings and voltage specific to your brand and model of memory modules.
