You'll need to provide us with more details on your situation and equipment, including software (windows version etc) and provide us with a clearer question. I hate trying to be a mind reader :)

Hmm thats bad advice before answering maybe yall should make sure there is no possible way to do this because guess what, it is possible and i know someone that does it. Its only possible under Linux, but it does work good, two monitors, two keyboard, 2 mice gives you in a sence two compputer for one, performance kinda sux depending on your system my buddy had it on a Pentium D 940 system and it was kinda slow but cool I'm sure with a decent system it will be better check out this site for more info.

I've to do it in an institution which needs less processing power such as browsing, word processing etc. I heard it from someone that it is possible in windows server versions 2008. But don't know how to do it & requirements. I want to use single cpu with different users so that each users can perform different/same tasks at same time. ;)  ;)

With Windows, RDP or Citrix ICA plus thin-client is what you're thinking of.

[EDITED]Looks like there's a new solution that just came out a few weeks ago.

just simply paying for the licenses of any of these "windows" solutions would be so expensive you might as well just get another cheap computer instead for the 2nd user to play around on

you would see better performance for the users overall this way too...

the only real world solution to this in my opinion is to get linux instead, but as it seems you are just asking about windows I doubt you'd be interested in that?

Go for NComputing...it supports windows and you can run 6/8 separate monitor+mouse+kbd+speaker on one cpu with 6gb ram. It allows full file level and user level security and complete system administration. It is hassle free n cost effective. We are running several hundred such setups for past 10 years. Go ahead...good luck.
