Setup:
Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W
Athlon 64 X2 Black Edition 5000+ (CPU Clock 3013.9 MHz (original: 2600 MHz, overclock: 16%))
Gigabyte GA-M57SLI-S4
4gb DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM (5-5-5-18 @ 400 MHz) (4-4-4-13 @ 270 MHz)
(dead) EVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB

The board does support SLI, however I have no experience in setting up SLI yet. I would not be opposed to it. I use the computer mostly for gaming (WoW and DDO installed atm) and watching movies/tv.

Please give me suggestions for a card to replace my 8800 with.

Hey OP, you mentioned you only play WoW and DDO, is this all you play?. You will not need a high end card to play those games. Even your 8800GTS was over kill for WoW. But if your planning to play GTA IV,Crysis,Dirt 2 etc. You might want to consider a new processer as your one will be bottlenecking, todays games. A HD5770,GTX 260,HD4870,GTS250 seems like a reasonable upgrade. Depends on what your budget is. Id go for HD5770 as it is futureproofed for directx11

I am planning on a new system, and had put in an order for parts... but Newegg's credit card screwed up my address, and it'll take a few days to correct. I'm basically looking for something to get me back up and gaming at max settings, that is locally available at the MicroCenter down the road.

As for the gaming, at the moment, I am only playing those... however, will be picking up FFXIV and Bioshock2 when they come out.

If you are just thinking something cheap to get you by for a few days for those games pick up HD4670 or 9800GT which ever you can find cheaper locally. They are plenty for the games you listed but if it is going to be for your new build go with HD4870/90 HD5770 or GTX260.
