Can Not Connect Using WEP LINKSYS BEFW11S4 XP

Hello All,

I can not connect to my LINKSYS BEFW11S4 router with WEP enabled. If I disable WEP everything works just fine. I am using Windows XP and I can connect to other networks that are WEP enabled, but not my own with the LINKSYS BEFW11S4. I upgraded the firmware in the router to the latest software, but that did not help. I even set the WEP key on both laptop and router to 0000000000 to make sure I did not key anything wrong. I also have both the laptop and router set to OPEN. But nothing works. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Get a new router. WEP is too easy to crack.

Thanks, but that is not the answer I am looking for. WEP might be easy to crack, but I have been working on this thing for two days, and it is not easy to setup....;)

I notice you're using a 64 bit key (0000000000, 10 zeros), try a 128 bit key (00000000000000000000000000, 26 zeros).
