Hi, I noticed that everytime I have a question about "this or that" on my computer, more often than not Tom's is the site that has the best info.
I have upgraded my system yet again and am interested in finding out whether there are any dangers to starting an external eSATA hard drive with a different OS e.g. some linux distro or Windows XP etc. I guess that the worry would be of the other OS crapping all over the RAIDED SSD drive and crashing the primary OS Drive.
My system is a Gigabyte z68xp-ud4 version 1.0 with a 2600k. 16gb ram running Windows 7 64bit on a 400gb WD 7200 SataII with a 64GB Samsung 830 SATAIII ssd in iSRT accelerate caching mode.
I'm using a StarTech.com SATADOCKU22 drive dock using both eSATA ports and no USB to run the externals.
