Is it safe to leave cnq, c1e and spread spectrum off always?

Right now im in the process of overclocking my phenom II x4 850 3.30, I have cool n quiet, c1e and spread spectrum enabled, ive doing reading on forums that its good to disable them so they dont interfere with overclocking then to enable them again once you have found a stable setting, and some people leave some off and some on, what should i do? What if i left all off all the time even after I have found my stable setting will it hurt me in anyway??

Also tell me if im overclocking the right way (below)....

At the moment im at 3.63ghz from 3.30 on my processor, im overclocking by upping the fsb be 5 each time, stock fsb is 200 x16.5(<--auto multiplier) at the moment im at 220 with stock voltage (3.63ghz), each 5 to fsb i up ill run prime95 for about 10min and if doing good ill restart pc and up another 5fsb then run prime again and etc.... Now once i fail a test should i up my v core voltage a tad bit then try to pass prime for 10min again or how should i go about doing this? V core is the one i should mess with only right? Oh and so far at 3.63 under load im at 35c max with CoreTemp, im using a hyper212 plus cooler and mx-4 paste if that matters...

Also i started my ram ratio one step lower from 1:4 @1600mhz to 1:33 @1333mhz and the overclock raised it to 1462mhz (731x2) Im doing this the correct way right?

once i overclock more ill rune prime95 for about 12 hours and see how it turns out...

Any tips are appreciated as im new to overclocking thanks!

Ok cool but what if I had all 3 disabled for 24/7 aside from power consumption will there be any problems?

And lol just raised fsb to 225 and failed in 2min turned off all 3 then failed again after 6min so I guess it helped a tad bit, should I increase voltage now?v core only correct?

relax your timing RAM / or drop ratio RAM

Well the error was illegal sumout so wouldn't I need more CPU voltage?

I would still drop ram timing first as well. Try and keep it below 1333 to eliminate ram as a problem. Once you find your overclock high point then worry about getting the ram up

Ok lol yeah I'm doing blend test so RAM has to be the problem... Btw should I use blend test only or which test is good for 10min and which is best for a long term test?

test Prime95 2hours enough and
using intelburntest 20minutes (sellect high RAM / max ) .. if your ram not stable you will get error or BSOD

Hi thanks for replying,
I'm in over an hour of testing via prime95, I started with blend but didn't know all test are used over longer periods of time automatically which is cool. I'm at 220 fsb x 16.5 multiplier at 3.63GHz, RAM at about 1400+MHz(forgot exact number lol) at 9-9-9-33 2t 1.5v(stock) RAM ratio is 1:3 ATM

I'm gonna let the test go on for another 7 hours or so. but so far it looks stable at this speed. I totally wanna get to 4.0 or at least nearer but my problem has been RAM instability and I'm not sure what voltage to set my CPU at for higher speeds as I'm still learning. BTW I'm at 35c under load of prime95, using a coolermaster hyper212 plus with mx-4 paste so I know I have pretty good cooling.

What's a good next step to get to a higher speed?

I failed the test after about 1hour 45min of prime, dam :(

Lol well im at stock again ill try again another time thought i had a stable setting guess not haha

Got Mine Stable @ 4.4Ghz w/ CnQ and C1E Enabled. Guess I'm just quite lucky w/ my Chip and Hyper Evo 212 CPU Cooler.
