Windows xp tasks folder security

I am working on a reload of my Windows XP professional system. In my previous installation, I set permissions on the Windows Tasks folder to prevent Users from creating entries because some malware used the task scheduler to contaminate my system. However, I do not recall how it was done. Looking at the tasks folder promerty, I only see the general tab. I have forceguest set to zero. Is it still desireable to set permissions on the tasks folder (or did microsoft fix this security hole)?
If so, how is it done?

  1. If you had a Security tab in the Tasks folder before but don't now, turn off "Simple File Sharing" in the options of the folders. Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Last entry.
