Heyas ive started making an 1156 build around an unlocked i7 875k cpu, i got a free biostar t5xe mobo with it but im not happy with its dual gpu pcie bandwidth so i plan on upgrading that to an asus maximus III extreme in the future (addition of NF200 chip gives x16/x16 or x16/x16/x8 in trifire/tri sli) However at the moment i have a vx-e pro case, the cpu, a h50 cooler and a msi hawk 5770 and these are teh components i wish to work with.

This computer is mainly for gaming but it will at a later stage have some CAD and rendering applications too.

What i need help with to get this pile of pc components together and working is the right ram that will work with the biostar mobo for now while i wait a few more weeks for the asus mobo... without compatibility issues. I have heard low CAS latency is the way to go but considering i am using this for gaming mostly would that matter too much? should i get something say...like cas7 1333, or cas9 1600. that sort of thing.
or if someone could link some good ram options that would be even better!

i plan on mildly OC'ing the cpu and GPU in the future and getting another hawk(or something better mayb) so i dont want memory to be an issue later, especialy since il be using drafting and rendering applications in the next year.

Any and all help would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Skorch

EDIT: i forgot to mention il be using win 7 64 bit

Here is you biostar t5xe specs Support 4-DIMM DDR3-2000(OC)/1800(OC)/1600/1333 up to 16G maximum capacity. The lower timings for memory will cost more when you choose ddr3-2000 then if you choice 1333. If you getting a new system in another few weeks I will just wait till I see the motherboard I wanted and get the ram with the lowest setting at the highest speed.

mm thats strange as the specs on the back of the MOBO box say dual channel ddr3-1866(OC) being the max. in the manual it says it supports ddr3 800/1066/1333/1600OC/1833OC. "Registered DIMM and ECC DIMM is not supported" - What does this mean?
where did u get those specs from

all fixed and working.
the problem was conflicting ati drivers, i installed the ones that came with the card then updated to the newer 1.7 and didnt wipe the previous driver.

all sorted!
