Hello and welcome to the forums :)
It depends on what you want to do with your PC,but for gaming HD 5850 with a Athlon2 X4 is a better choice

Go for High CPU. Because It determines the performance more.. GPU determines Graphics and Gaming Performance......

I think you meant 5850...

@ T-Dog :

If you're intending to use your computer as a gaming platform, the GPU will make a huge difference hence justify cutting on the CPU budget to afford a GPU one notch up.

Then again, you can grab a 555 Phenom 2 and play the core unlock roulette, could end up with a quad core for $100

If you're more worried about having a computer that "feel" fast and don't care much about games, put that money toward a SSD instead.

Like the above said, if you're looking at gaming then go for the better graphics card and cut back a little on the CPU. If on the other hand you're not looking to game and just want a general use or productivity PC then go for the better CPU and possibly as SidVicious metioned a SSD :)  Good luck!

For gaming: 5850 and Propus

Otherwise: 965 and 5770(Or maybe SSD as Sid said).
