Hello, I am a first time poster here but i have been browsing Toms for years. I am not super technical but I am in IT sales so I am getting good deal on all of the parts in question so please ignore list pricing in links as I am getting better on all parts then newegg or tigerdirect. I would like to see if I am off base on anything here. I do not plan to over clock this machine at first but I could see it happening at a later date maybe when i decide to buy a second video card. Then maybe I will do something about the cooling which i am slightly worried about.

Here is the build i am planing on purchasing.

I am thinking of seting up to the following monitors.

52 inch Sony 1080p LCD 120 Hz via the HDMI port
32 inch Sony 720p LCD 60Hz via DVI to DVI port
and
24 inch samsung via DVI port.

I am not sure if I should use the display port or just stick with the other ports for my monitors as non of them have a native display port on them.

Please let me know what you think. I mainly play just WoW now but will be looking into some new games shortly.

I would suggest the following changes:

Antec 902 case has speed control on all fans, washable case filters, and slightly more depth to handle longer graphics cards.

ASUS P7X58D motherboard has USB 3.0 and SATA III capabilities, as well as being compatible with the new Gulftown six core processors.

Samsung F3 or Seagate 7200.12 are slightly faster than the WD Caviar Black drive you listed.

Why not go with a Blu-ray DVD drive, since you are getting a discount?

Get a 5890 video card. No point in getting a X58 motherboard and pairing it with a 5770 graphics card.

Get a decent CPU cooler, such as the Prolimatech Megahalems, and install it before you put everything together. Installing a after market cooler later is a PITA.

Thanks for the info. I would like to get a bigger graphics card but I wanted the Direct 11x and for under 200 I could not find anything better. Im just not ready to spend 2x the money for the 5870 or wait till the 5890 comes out. Blu Ray Drive is like 5 times the cost of a normal dvd drive and I have a PS3 to watch any blu rays already. I had not planned to burn any as media is expensive and I can go right to the 52 inch from the PC if I download any HD quality. I will think what you said about the case because I was not tied to that really and I know about the ram but I am getting it for only $100 bucks so I though WTF. The hard drive is only a placeeholder until the price for SSD comes down and I will chuck the OS onto taht and use the 500 for storage and maybe add another HDD.

Um, what is the p7x58d? i searched it on the asus global site but couldnt find anything. and also, 5890 is not a card yet, and probably wont be for like another 6months or something. or were you referring to the 5970?
