How is the i5-750 better than the 920? I purchased the 920 from Microcenter for 199.99$ as well. What is a good Mid-Range X58 Mobo. What do you think of the AS ROCK X58. Also, why not get a the XFX XXX Edition? It has a higher memory clock and core clock. Thanks :)

You are lucky to have a Microcenter nearby!

Dump the RAM - it's too expensive for what it is.

The G.Skill is good at CAS7 for the same price, alternatively there's a lot of good brands like Patriot and OCZ who have the same speed and timings for a lot less - I have a thing for Patriot Sector 5 Viper II at the moment - get 3 1600MHz CAS7 dual channel kits for 12GB and it still works out less than Corsair Dominator.

The only reason to get factory overclocked editions of graphics cards is usually their warranty covers the OC, but to be honest factory overclocks are rarely very big so performance boost is negligible for the premium you have to pay - either go with a stock card and enjoy or use Catalyst to overclock yourself.

An exception to that rule are those with non-reference coolers, like Sapphire's Vapor-X cards. Because their cooler designs are better than reference they'll do an overclock as well.

Personally I don't trust Asrock boards - always had problems - so I'd go Gigabyte or Asus. My personal X58 board is the Asus P6TD Deluxe, but the Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5 is very good too - they are near top-end boards though, so anything P6T from Asus will do you well.

Again, my personal preference for hard drives is Samsung SpinPoint F3 - faster and cheaper than WD drives.

The thing is, I got the Antec 1200 and the Corsair XMS3 6GB as a Graduation Gift. Which actually sparked this build, which i had been waiting for a very long time. The Memory is FROM newegg so Is it worth it to RMA it? Nothing wrong with mix-matching rams right? Also the Gigabyte mobo seems to be getting a lot of "faulty" reviews on newegg, why is that? I would lOVE to buy the P6T-Deluxe but i'm also on a tight budget and can't spend more than $200 on the Mobo.

What do you guys think of this? ADATA: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211364

If you already have 6GB Corsair XMS then you might as well get another 6GB to match - I doubt Newegg will have it back just because you don't want it.

The P6TD Delxue is in your reach dude
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131403&Tpk=p6td%20deluxe

it costs $259.99, so let's find you the $60 more you need.

The Noctua cooler you wanted is $79.99, however the Scythe Mugen II andy suggested is $34.99 - you save $40

The Radeon 5770 XXX is $189.99. Get this Sapphire one instead for $159.99

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102858&cm_re=5770-_-14-102-858-_-Product

you save $30

So there you go - $70 saved, add that to the $200 you have set aside for the mobo and you now get the P6TD Deluxe AND a pizza!
