Not enough brass standoff placements in my case for my motherboard

I'm building a computer for the first time, and I'm finding that I don't have enough correctly placed brass standoff sockets in my case for all of the possible slots in the motherboard. Is having all of them put in necessary? Here is my motherboard + case:

GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

COOLER MASTER RC-692-KKN3 CM690 II Basic Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

My mobo needs 7, the case came with plenty, 12 I think. The question I'm asking is if a mobo needs to have all of the brass standoffs in place for it to be fine. I ask this because my case only has slots for 6 of my mobo's placements. Hopefully that's clear, I'll try to re-clarify if need be.
Motherboard Master

It is OK.

Put in a standoff everywhere there is a match between the hole in the motherboard, and a standoff place in the case. The main thing is that the motherboard is supported well enough not to flex much.
