Building a rig for a dj

so basically i need some advice as what would be a good pc for multitasking and just working with music. and i got one question when it says a mother board supports am2+ does that mean it also supports am3 or no? oh and his budget is 500

Generally it should, but still you should check the manufacturers site just to make sure the board supports it. but what were you thinking of getting?

mmk thanks well so far i only looked at cpus and im goin with amd as its cheaper then intel, and i have 2 in mind.

amd phenom 2 x4 955 black edition quad core 3.20ghz its $169.99

or

amd phenom 2 x3 720 black edition triple core 2.80ghz. thats $129.99
