Hi - I got a quick question regarding installing a PCI NIC card just below my 4890 PCIE card. It seems so close together (8th of an inch) I'm wondwring if this could create GPU heat problems. The way my Motherboard is setup my sound card is using my only onther PCI slot at the bottom and this is the only free PCI slot right below the 4890 card.

My onboard NIC is having issues and I'm having to install a PCI NIC as a result of this.

Because of the turbine styled fan in the 4890, it wouldn't matter if there was no space between the card and the NIC. The fan takes air from part of the back vent, and also blows it out the back. Watch your temperatures via Catalyst Control Center and you will see that you won't have an issue. Hope I helped
