Yesterday I upgraded to Bios 5001 and now the system doesn't work. Can't boot. Can enter Bios with DEL. The flash did NOT give an error or warning message. Disabled all the HDDs, CD-ROM starts then locks up. The Bios Flash now locks up. Bios update was NOT interrupted. Anyway, is there a way to fix this or do I need to get a new motherboard? TIA

Edit: Do I need to remove the LAN Bios chip?
The system has never been overclocked.

Hi There,

Just did the same thing on my computer. Scared the crap out of me but I think it's ok now. I pulled the battery on the mother board out, waited 10 seconds, and turned it back on. Everything then seemed to be ok. I got the CMOS checksum error and had to redo some settings in the BIOS but it looks ok now. Give that a try and let me know how it goes for you.
