I'm having an issue with my brass standoffs:

I have a p6t deluxe v2 and an antec 1200 case. The antec 1200 came with 3 brass standoffs. Putting the motherboard in the case with no standoffs fits perfectly. Trying to put the standoffs in make the motherboard too high, thus not being able to fit in the I/O slot of the case.

I have been putting the brass stand offs in the back of the motherboard so the front of the motherboard can fit in the I/O slot. This creates a problem because it lifts the back of the motherboard up, slightly bending the motherboard.

Is there anything I can do about this?

thats a very BAD thing to do undo it immediately. does the case already have little hill-like raises where the holes for the standoffs go?

Like my 900's, the 1200 already has the standouts preinstalled in the standard ATX locations:

That's why there are only three loose ones. What you may need to do is move them around so they match the motherboard hole pattern.
