Help with call of dudy 6 modern warfare 2

i got call of dudy 6 modern warfare 2 and when i start it i get a message and the game goes black for a second and then goes back to my icon screen.
my computer is brand new just bought it last week it is windows xp with an nvidia geforce and intel processor pleas help

About your game, Is it original or not?
If it came with some kind of "crack" then that's your problem... :)

no i bot the game from steam my specs are
nvidia geforce 9600 intel core 2 duo and windows xp home premium please help

um i didnt look i dont se how u asking me questions not relevant to my computer help me at all....

i also tried to play it on my rothers computer and it worked~!! how can i fix this please!

trust me tho im good with computers and im pretty shure its not going to help at all

Questions regarding the error msg are correct! Your problem may lie in the version of DirectX drivers. Try updating your drivers. You can get them off the net.
