Well, you didn't give us much detail as to what you currently have, but no, you won't find a better Intel setup for the same price. What is your budget? What RAM do you have right now? Do you have a CPU?

If you have the money for one, I'd suggest going with an AM3 setup. I'm running an AMD Phenom II x4 965 on an MSI 790FX-GD70 motherboard right now, which is an excellent setup for both gaming and multitasking, but is also fairly expensive, and costs a lot more because of its overclocking abilities. If that's out of your price range, here are some good components to choose from:

Motherboards:
$167.99 MSI 790FX-GD70
$119.99 Asus M4A88TD-V EVO
$79.99 MSI 770-G45

CPUs:
$179.99 AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE
$135.99 AMD Phenom II x4 925
$99.99 AMD Athlon II x4 635
$84.99 AMD Athlon II x3 445

That pretty much covers all the price ranges, although you really don't need a motherboard as powerful as the GD70. That ASUS is nice - solid build, great expansion, USB3.0 I believe. Those are all listed in order from most to least powerful, but they all require DDR3 memory. I can easily whip up a list of recommended DDR2 parts for you if you find that's what you need...
