PLS-help me decide which 27"display-gaming, LG-W2753V-PF or HP2709m

Hi All,

I can’t decide which of two monitors to buy for my Eyefinity set up; this means that I will buy 3 of the same monitors when you all help me make a decision. I hove considered the

LG W2753V-PF Black 27" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Full HD 1080P Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 50000:1 w/ Smart Package (great refresher rate, 1000:1)
$400.00

And the

HP 2709m 27" 3ms(GTG) HDMI Full HD 1080P Widescreen 16:9 LCD Monitor w/ swivel adjustment 400 cd/m2 DC 30000:1(1000:1)
$360.00

I have selected all of my components to build my powerhouse and 3 clicks away from the purchase. I just need help deciding of the monitors I mentioned above. I have indicated the price for each monitor which will be multiplied by 3 monitors for Eyefinity. Both are great monitors, but is there a better one for gaming?

Please help me choose the better monitor.

The HP reviews I found weren't great, specifically a lack of features and poor quality for small text.

The LG got great reviews by 6 users at Amazon:

I should add that these are all 1920x1080 (unlike the awesome iMac which now has a 2650x1440 27" model).

Unless you are sitting fairly far away you'd be better off with a 24" 1920x1080 screen.

Yes, 1920x1080 is where I would like to be. These resolutions seem to be most common with MS Flight Simulator, shooting games, and racing games.

cnet is bullshit, i got the 2709m and i love it all you gotta do is tweak the color settings a little and its perfect.

the hp 2709m has 24 reviews at amazon with good reviews.

Darth is right I just got mine yesterday and its the bomb, upgraded from my old samsung 245bw and has better color better response time its bigger very sturdy and color does not fade n corners (dont know why review say it does). This s the best 27 next to the samsung 27hd but big difference s price. You will not regret getting this monitor and f you think you might go to ur nerest frys if you dont like it return it.
