Ive just purchased the ASUS P7P55D-E PRO and already have 1 x 2GB DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 Ripjaw Memory (7-8-7-24) .

Ive just ordered another set - G-Skill 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600MHz/PC3-12800 Ripjaw Memory Kit CL7(7-8-7-24) making my memory total of 6GB.

I know the memory is compatible with my motherboard but wondered if having all 3 Memory Sticks in at once will improve performance or reduce it, or nothing ?

It says in the manual (after purchasing the single 2GB stick) that 3 configurations are recommended 1 Module in A1 or B1, 2 Modules in A1 and B1, and 4 Modules in all 4 and nothing about 3 Modules.

I know retailers do sell 6GB Pairs (3x2GB), I just managed to find someone selling a 2GB Stick (and buying a 4GB Pair) for much less than buy 6GB as a package :sol:

Thanks

Hi.

U won't say any big difference since ur mobo and CPU don't support tri-channel so the 6GB can only run in dual channle (2x2gGB) plus single channel (1x2GB)
