Hey, I am getting a custom pc and am not to sure about hard drives.

is it better to get a smaller solid state drive for the main hdd as ive heard it gives you a large performance boost when booting and that there are other benefits. and then having a much larger (3tb?) normal hdd for data?

or is just having 2 2tb in raid better.

also is "intel smart response technology" worth it?

(Intel Smart Response Technology combines SSD and Standard HDDs into a single volume for fast performance while maintaining large storage capacities. Intel Smart Response Technology utilizes a portion of your SSD drive for caching frequently used applications to improve your overall system performance and responsiveness. A minimum of 20GB of SSD storage space will be used and dedicated to caching but allocated cache size is adjustable. By utilizing the Intel Smart Response Technology, your system response will outperform HDD-only systems by up to 60%!)

or any other advice would be appreciated =).

thanks.

Having a small SSD and a large main HDD is a much better option than a 2tb RAID array. The SSD will be much faster.

I don't have any experience with intel smart response, so I can't help you there.
