what is the differenc between dual core and core 2duo

This one of those "Confusion by Intel"(TM) kind of things. You have Pentium dual core CPU's that predate the C2D CPU's. And you Pentium Dual Cores that are upgrades for some of the C2D chips.

Google "e6300" and you will see what I mean.
