Please review my setup for a fast, but budget system - with no HDD or DVD drive (since I already have plenty of those).

What's the usage?

What's your budget?

What parts are you reusing?

The PSU is no no. The case is alright.

I'm not really a gamer, so it would be more for applications, utilities, converting video, etc. The CPU and memory are the most important to me - as the onboard video on this motherboard seems like it will plenty for my use. Even if it ends up not being the case, I can get another video card at some point.

I'm trying to keep the system under $400.

I'm re-using a 500 gig SATA drive and a DVD R/W drive.

The power supply comes with that case. I was wondering what was wrong with that power supply?

After doing more reading, I found that AMD processors use more power than Intel chips - even at standby. That isn't a total deal breaker, but I don't want the lights to dimm when I turn the PC on. :)

Thanks.

newegg customers aren't tomshardware regulars so their expectations or standards aren't as high as ours. Rosewill is one psu brand they like. I'm not saying it will blow up in your face, but you want something to last?

Basically the same mobo, but it supports DDR3 = reusable in future upgrades.
