It's not preinstalled, you get the (fairly decent) product along with the SSD. They claim that it will let you do an easy migration to your new SSD, but unless it has a restore-to-dissimilar-hardware function (I don't know if it does), an image migration to SSD will leave you with a substandard setup.
I'm feeling too lazy to look up the separate prices for the SSD and Ghost and add them. If it saves money, and you want Ghost, go for it. Otherwise, buy the SSD without.
Personally, I'm still using Norton Ghost 8.0. I would be _perfectly_ happy with it, except that it doesn't understand 4k alignment, so I don't use it with my SSD much.
