I build my pc using tecmo34 step by step guide.

When I power on the system, nothing is working (fans not speeding) I know the PSU switch is on because I can see the orange led from the LAN illuminated.

With rams and video card on, when power on, I see a small red flash on the debug led.

I tried rebooting one ram at the time and and hear the beep, see the flash.

I booted with all rams and video card out and, no flash, no beep.

I tried cmos but nothing.

Did I miss something on buildup? I reread the guide many times, redid it but still the same problem of nothing happening when power is on.

Is my PSU d.o.a?

:??:

I'm able to jump start my PSU so I know that's not the problem.

Now I wonder if it's the motherboard that is d.o.a.

If a motherboard is defective then I wouldn't see any led illuminated right, I wouldn't be hearing a small beep sound too right?

Can anyone tell me how to check for sure if it's dead or not, (like I did for the psu by jump starting it).

At least if I know nothing is d.o.a then it means I've done something wrong in the wiring process. I just don't understand why the psu can work alone but if I connect it to the motherboard it doesn't work. I've connected the 24 pins, 8 pins so the fan of the psu should work when connected to my mobo right?

Does it mean something is shorting my mobo and cutting the current?
