New system selections good?

My current old p4 desktop is completely dead and I'm not fixing it.

BUDGET RANGE: ~1000

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Internet access, finance sw, music, pictures, MS flight simX, and RC flight sims

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, Mouse, wireless network card, Speakers (have 5.1) Monitor (using dell 2007fp dvi 1600x1200)

MONITOR RESOLUTION:1600x1200 May go to a larger HDMI monitor later
