GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD7 Crossfire question

i wonder about GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD7 board... if i put my first GC into PCIEx16_1, and my 2nd GC into PCIEx8_1...both of my GC should running X16 or X8???
the PCIEx16_1 and PCIEx16_2 too far if i wanna put just 2 GC....
i`m going to buy new board for my mobo, but i don`t know to choose theese 2 board for my mobo...i`m just using 2 way Crossfire setup..

Why are the 16x slots too far apart?

It's by design to get more air flow having space between the cards...

i`m using Gigabyte HD5850 oc series....i`m just wanna get gigabyte board only coz all my part using gigabyte brand...lol .....

for me it`s too far apart coz it`ll takes 3 PCIE to put GC to PCIEx16_2... is there have CF bridge that long??

This is a three-slot bridge, which should work on the UD7... One that ships with the cards should work on the UD5...
