Hey, I just got the ATI 4890 Cyclone card ( http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?Product... ) and some funny things are happening with my text... this is only with things like installers and control panel things, not with web and game. it might not be the problem at all, as I just massively upgraded my system with many new parts.
this is the problem screenshotted, you can see the text is all glitchy and greenish. more pics of the problem to be posted when i have them.

system stats intel i7 920 D0 2.33 Ghz, EVGA classified e760 Mobo, ATI 4890 OC cyclone, 2 sticks of 2gb ram: different brands, 500gb hard drive.

please help? its a slightly annoying problem.

BTW how do you have 2 sticks of 2GB of ram? i7 920 operates in triple channel mode, not in dual.

Dual channel is okay.
Tell us about your power supply.

500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended

Try a different monitor.

I thought the LGA-1366 i7's ONLY operated in tri-channel mode.

@OP, it more probable to be a software glitch, nothing to do with hardware, maybe monitor.

well i have a 600w power supply, but it only comes with 4-pin, not 8 pin. somehow it still worked, but i'm getting a new power supply very soon. the ram is also temporary, due to shortage of funds >.>

and your right the i7 is triple channel, i need to get some triple channel ram soon
