4 Gigs of Ram

Is upgrading my 2 gigs of pc 5300 ram to 4 gb of pc 5300 ram a good idea? Also should I get 6 gigs total instead of 4? or is 4 more than enough for futureproof and stuff?

Are you running a 64-bit OS? What activities do you do with your PC? These are just a few questions we need to answer to get an idea on what impact adding more RAM will be.

Example: Standard home office / Internet PC really won't benefit much from going with 4GB of RAM. A gaming or photo/video editing PC will benefit from having more RAM.

I have a 64 bit windows 7 OS. I use my pc for gaming

Edit: I already bought 2 gigs of ram from some guy and now im up to 4. You can still tell me the benefits lol

You will benefit in a gaming build with 4GB versus 2GB. I would recommend going adding 2 additional GB's of RAM but you don't need to go up to 6GB (no real benefit).
