Geforce mx440 AGP8x both screens 1920x1080 Tags: Nvidia Graphics Cards Geforce Graphics Last response: December 30, 2009 11:37 AM in Graphics & Displays Share pieter1970 December 30, 2009 9:25:13 AM Hello, I have a 6 year old PC with a Nvidia Geforce MX440 AGP8x video card. Now I've bought two Acer X243HQ screens with a native resolution of 1920x1080. I hooked them up, one on the D-sub and one on the DVI port of the video card. The one on the D-sub port is the primary screen, which displays 1920x1080 just fine. The other one, on the DVI port does not.. It's maximum is 1440x900. I find this quite annoying. Is this a limitation of my video card or is there a simple solution? Thanks Pieter More about : geforce mx440 agp8x screens 1920x1080 carlhenry December 30, 2009 11:33:51 AM maybe the vcard just ran out of vram? not quite sure but i think that is the case when pumping up to higher res you need to have lotsa vram. m 0 l pieter1970 December 30, 2009 11:37:13 AM carlhenry said:maybe the vcard just ran out of vram? not quite sure but i think that is the case when pumping up to higher res you need to have lotsa vram. Thanks.. The weirdest thing.. When I connect the second screen using a VGA cable and a DVI2VGA adaptor, it does run on 1920x1080. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
