Memory Recommendation

Hello. I need some recommendations for ram for my system. running old DDR2 667 and wants somthing quicker without breaking the bank and without getting 10$ cheap-o ram. system is Q6600 OC 2.81 w Zalmen Cooler, MSI P7N Diamond, 650W BFG SLI, 2x PNY 9800 GTX+ in SLI, X-FI Xtreme, SATA II 250 gb HD.

ETA: You didn't say what operating system you are using so if it's XP you'd likely be fine with one stick but if you can afford it or are using a 64bit operating system then you might consider two of them.

running Win 7 Ultimate x64 and kind of looking for either a 2 or 4 gig dual channel kit i kinda of wanna keep it under 90$

God I'd hate to be stuck trying to buy DDR2 with prices as they are now. I was thinking about upgrading my secondary comp from 2 gigs to 4 but it's only got 2 slots. Nope it's gonna stay on XP for the foreseeable future apparently.

I'm glad I got my 2x2GB DDR2 800 for my main comp for $30 like 6 months ago.

Try e-Bay, I got a 2x1GB @ 800MHz for 30 bucks! It was OCZ brand and quality.

Make sure you buy new though.

I looked on eBay and prices there weren't any better in fact worse for what is needed.

Since the operating system is Win7 it would really be wisest to get 2X2Gb.

I suggested 2X2GB so the only other option would be 1GB sticks and it's not recommended to choose 4X1GB over 2X2GB that's just asking for avoidable trouble in many cases.

Win7 will run on 2GB but 4GB would be much better.

I got 8 gigs 4X2 of OCZ2B800C54GK at Newegg for $100.00 not counting a rebate. Its deactivated now.
