i have a cooler master 550W extreme Edition and it has 1 PCI-x 6 pin and m usinf another with 4 to 6pin...is it good for my XFX 4870 1GB card..is it good for my card....16Amp on per +12Volts

my machine Configuration is...
intel Dp35dpm
C2D e8400 3.0Ghz
2GB corsair 800Mhz Ram
1 80Gb WD
1 250Gb Wd
1 500Gb Seagate
and 1 DVDrom

Solution
That 550w is probably just fine for a single 4870. You aren't OCing your CPU, and if you stay away from that with your video I would feel comfortable with it. Once you start to overclock things it starts to draw more power, and while you meet the recommended requrements for a 4870, that is based on stock specs. Dual 16A rails should be fine.

A corsair 750 is complete overkill. You would need it if you were going to run dual 4870's though.
