I have a 879U Qnap. Is there a way to transfer user and permissions settings from an AD server to the Qnap without losing the permissions. Is there a way to make fail over clustering, if my Qnap goes down is there a way to point it to a different Qnap in a different location?
You should be able to... Most of the NAS/iSCSI now aday able to save a configuration file, which loadable to the restore or config new system...
Personally I do not have qNAS, but eBOX-N. I think it should be the same or similar
