Good Program for converting Blu-ray / HD-DVD to AVI?

I know this isn't the ideal section for this, but I didn't see a really appropriate forum for this. Anyway:

For Christmas I got one of those older LG GGC-H20L Blu-ray + HDDVD drives for my computer. I downloaded the trial of AnyDVD HD and was able to rip both a Blu-ray and HDDVD to my hard drive without issue, but I'm struggling to find a good program to convert these folders into a regular video file, like AVI, MOV, or WMV.

Anyone know a good program for converting these file structures (HDDVD as well as Blu-ray) into .AVI? I'd be willing to pay some money for a good one.

Thanks everyone.

Handbrake is a good free program for this kind of thing.
If you're ripping the original disc with AnyDVD, Handbrake should be able to use the output. The only kind of codec on a Blu-Ray disc that Handbrake won't like is VC-1 interlaced video, which is pretty rare as far as I know. If you run into VC-1, try BD-Rebuilder for Windows.
