Can you overclock without a OS?

Like overclocked by 20% processor without an OS.

I have on idea how overclocking works so I wonder if you need an OS to overclock

Yes. You have to use the BIOS.

You use the OS, when u use the OC utility, that is installed in the OS as an app.

And 3rd, option is on the mobos, a button that will OC as well.

What would be the point in overclocking in your BIOS without an operating system to test the stability of the overclock? :lol: 

You need much more than an idea of how overclocking works, or you'll destroy your hardware without it ever booting to an operating system!

I think it would be more like buying a car without steering wheel and then try to put on an afterburner, the car will run but you got no way of making it do anything useful
