I'd like your opinion/to gloat about a new machine I am considering. Also if you notice any incompatibilities that I missed I would like to know!

MB: ASRock X58 Extreme
CPU: i7 920
MEM: OCZ DDR3 12GB 1600MHz
HD: Seagate 1.5 TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s
CASE: NZXT Zero Aluminum
PSU: Rosewill 950W
GPU: Radeon 5850 x2
OS: Win 7 Pro

Rosewill has some good PSUs and some that are trash. Check professional reviews before buying one (or go with a more reliable company like Corsair, Antec or Seasonic.)

No idea of what you are doing would benefit from 12GB RAM. If you never use that much it will not speed anything up.

Have you checked benchmarks for your games and resolutions to see if you really need two 5850s?

Seagate 7200.11 have had firmware issues. The 7200.12 500GB and 1 TB have 500GB platters making them much faster drives than the 750 and 1.5TB models. Samsung F3 500GB and 1TB are also fast new 500GB platter drives.

Splendid
+1 rosewill is generally not too good, and 12 gigs is such a waste, 6 gigs is perfect. look into this build:

that would be a great build. if you want to gloat, skip the second 5850, the 12 gigs, and more expenisve mobo, and get a ssd, final cost after mirs is 1857.93$, lol i would be jealous :D

For the $70 difference. I'd up that build to an Antec 1200 / CP-850.

Make sure HD s 7200.12 if gaming and multimedia is the priority.....if I/O and raw transfer speed is priority, then Spinpoint F3

Not a fan of the ASRock stuff. For $15 more could have an Asus.
