I've killed the Replay software update.

Before I let the unit upgrade the software. In almost all cases an upgrade
is usually a downgrade. If I let the mothership upgrade the unit what will
it break!!! I'm able to use DVArchive so I can play with the unit. Will
the upgrade break DVArchive?

Any 5500 series users in the know

TIA

EVERY software upgrade is an upgrade. The newest build will prevent a
55XX from pretending to be a 50XX and thus having CA and IVS.

No. DNNA only d/l the latest. If you use a bld 19 image it will update
unless you run WIRNS to prevent it. In which case you will have some net
bugs, poor closed captioning, etc. Full details are on the Replay forum
at avsforums.com.

Well.... I've not had any problems with my 5504. However the 55 series
does not support internet video streaming.. Just intra (local) net,
works fine with DVArchive Auto update is ON

Of course I can't predict the next update
