my laptop has been very slow recently, someone told me to check the temperatures....everything is good??

temp are good when was the last time you did a cookie and temp files cleaning also do a disc defrag that could help

check the process that are working on it some could use cpu power and do not need to start all the time like the updating one for browser or any other software

Well op IS using a laptop, and laptops use passive cooling.

Depends on the laptop, not many use passive today.
