I've also posted this in the win vista forum, but not sure where this problem would come under as it may have something to do with mobo/bios settings and its an onboard sound issue.
I have a ASUS A8N32 SLI Deluxe mobo. I've started having problems with the onboard sound. I've installed the latest drivers and there were times it would work but just cut out again after a restart, saying "no audio output device installed" when the drivers are still there.
A major factor is that I can't see any audio devices detected in the device manager. I looked in the BIOS settings and for the AC97 audio it's set to "Auto" there is no enable, just disable.
I'm running WIN Vista 64 bit, and my sound drivers were running fine before.
Any ideas how to fix it?
