How do i check my computer fans?

Hello,
how do i check to make sure my computer fan is working?

  1. Open up the case and have a look!!! lol

    You may also want to blow out all the dust while it's open or many bios pages show fan speed if they are monitored. Program like speedfan too.
  2. Open the case, turn the PC on, and look. :)

    Seriously, if you are worried about how well it is working, you could download CPUID's Hardware Monitor and monitor your temperatures. Your PC would probably behave very badly if the fan(s) isn't working, but you didn't mention any symptoms.

    which web site do i find the CPUID hardware temperature monitor on?
  4. Cnet amongst others,
    just google 'hwmonitor' and you'll find it,
    other programs from cpuid are gpu-z and cpuz, handy to have as well although hwm is more thorough, it looks a little intimidating at first to some :)
