Vhs-c video capturing advice needed

Good morning folks,
I hope im posting in the correct part.

I have an asus p5n32e sli mobo, and i am looking for advice on getting some holiday footage from old vhs-c camcorder tapes, from searches i think i have to get an analogue capture card, - ive seen one on ebay and its a pci card, i know my mobo has pcie slots but im not sure about just pci, can anyone assist?
any advice on other information relating to this topic would he most helpful.

    although it says pci, do i have to have a pcie capture card?

  2. Looks like you have 2 PCI 2.2 slots to plug the card into.
    Make sure that you can find drivers for your operating system, No drivers it's a waste of time and money. Looks like they have drivers for Vista 32 bit though.
  3. Hi, thanks for your reply, i have just decided to go the "record live onto dvd" route, as dvd recorders are quite cheap nowadays.
