Can your wireless adapter detect your router, or other networks ?

my router is hooked up to my desktop and i have been looking around in my desktop for it and its not there i guess i have to reinstall the router and then go from there im new to this wireless so not really sure what im doing but ill figuar it out i think lol thanks for the help if you got anymore help thanks in advance

Try looking at Control Panel, Network Connections, Wireless Network Connection.
