More about 5970
  1. 2x Sapphire HD 5970 2GB Better choice hands down no DirectX11 on the GTX 295s so eithier wait another couple weeks for the new DX11 nvidia cards or go with the 5970s. But even still the 5970s are still the best bet.

I recommend waiting for the new Nvidia GPU's to release. They should beat the ATI 5970 and drive down the cost of them, which is a good thing :)

They might drive down the price a bit, but all current indications are that they won't beat the 5970.

For Nvidia's sake, I would hope that isn't the case. If they release their DX11 cards six months later and don't perform better, they better go for the budget market as ATI just won full share of the highend. I've been personally waiting to see the cost & performance of the GTX 470 to see if worth the upgrade. I may have to make the switch to ATI at that point :(

According to this article its only gonna be slightly faster then a 5870 and thats almost considered an old card already NVIDIA is in trouble big time.

Although if the 3dvision works like they say it looks like it could be really cool.
