Hi,

I've recently had what I assume is a Motherboard fault and am looking to replace the old ECS K8T890-A Motherboard with something else on a budget of £40.00 or less...

Can anyone help?

Is there anywhere where I can input the necessary specs, or something??

Help??

Regards,
Nate

You'll have to check ebay for a 939 board with via chipset; they are getting scarce. It might be just as cheap to get a 754 cpu-board combo deal. To possibly save your windows files, you'll need another ecs board with via chipset; this makes it easier to recover your files when changing motherboards.

Sorry, I have no idea what any of that means!!

Your ecs board has a socket 939 AMD cpu; socket 754 also uses ddr ram, which is what your board uses. It's easy to google your motherboard for more information or download cpu-z for your system information. The ecs website under "archives" also has your board information. No vender that I know of carries 939 or 754 boards anymore, unless they are refurbished. Ebay.uk is your best bet for finding an older motherboard.
