Alright, I've been doing some research on all of the parts I will be buying and have come up with this:

http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=8646569

I will be overclocking so keep that in mind if you think changing some parts would serve me well. Its a few hundred over my budget, but that's ok. Just wanted to make sure there aren't any discrepancies or parts that aren't compatible on that list, and see what your recommendations were.

Check amazon.com. I recently order parts for core i7 rig. I found that amazon.com has better price structure than newegg. For example, you can get 5850 card for less than 300 without rebate plus free shipping.

The WD HDD you have there doesn't use 500GB platters. The 1TB or 2TB WD Caviar Black would be faster. Try to get the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB if they're in stock on Newegg.

That 750W PSU is overkill. I know you will be overclocking, but I have an i7-920 at 2.66 Ghz (stock) with a Radeon 5970 and a Corsair 650W. You should be fine with the 650W PSU, unless you're planning on Crossfiring. Even then, 650W might be enough.

I'd switch the HDD to the Samsung Spinpiont F3. The 500 GB one is the fastest drive available and $15 cheaper.

Here's some cheaper, faster RAM: G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 CAS Latency 7 $165

Switch the DVD burner for a Samsung 22x SATA burner. It's a few bucks less.

There are a few HD 5850s that are $10 (or so) cheaper. I'd look at those, unless that one is in a combo.

You probably don't need a modular PSU, as the case has a bottom mounted PSU. That'd save you $40.

EDIT: Forgot to add that the HAF 922 is at $80 after rebate, so that'd be a great case at slightly less. I've never gotten the appeal of the Storm Scout...

Forget the Dark Knight, grab a CM Hyper 212 Plus. Same performance for less money.

Go with the rest of Mad's suggestions.

Though honestly, if you went i5 you could get a SSD and a full USB 3.0/SATA 6.0 mobo for the same amount of money.

Also, you didn't fill out the form in the sticky at the top of the forum so we have no idea what you're doing with this system.
