Athlon 455 safe voltage ???

hi i have a amd athlon 2 455 it is overclocked to 4ghz and is not unlocked the voltage is on auto mode and the max it hits is 1.5 volts and 40 degrees is this safe for the cpu

no I would not call that a safe voltage at all...I personally would never run a cpu over 1.4 volts......for overclocking you do not want to leave your vcore voltage on auto the mobo will raise it up higher than needed...you should take it off auto put it down to 1.35 or so and test for stability if its stable drop it down some more until it becomes unstable and put it back up to the last voltage setting you had. no need to supply extra voltage to the cpu it just makes it run hotter and could potentially damage the chip
